- Kate and Flash first junior handler team to earn RAE
- 10th Pem Corgi to earn the Champion Tracker title
- Made Kate the youngest handler to get a CT (18 years old)
Flash was Kate's first dog. She was fast, crazy and intense, known for barking constantly no matter what she was doing. Top agility and herding trainers offered to purchase Flash, saying that she could have qualified for the World Team or been successful in Open Border Collie trials, but she and Kate had a blast together and learned a lot.
